SUMMIT LEAN AND AGILE 2022 - Tuesday, Oct. 11 Florence, Italy
Abstract
An overview of how a manufacturing company with two decades of advanced Lean practices and culture is adopting Agile, at the production and organizational level. We'll start from a project aimed at designing a new assembly line for one of the many company's components - specifically a small-size gas regulator. We'll see how the team was arranged and how some of the Agile practices were integrated into the Lean practices already in place. From there we'll move beyond the single team and discuss what it means to integrate Lean and Agile in a dynamic, diversified Oil&Gas multinational company. The two approaches serve different needs and can complement each other, but only if the path is customized and the evolution is organic.
