Abstract
Complexity is always part of our lives. There are situations in which the priorities of everyday work immediately become a small thing in the face of the uphill climb that life suddenly and unexpectedly places before you, such as when your 17-year-old son is killed in what is now-in part thanks to our association-called a road homicide.
Since that day, trying to save a few lives on the road has been my family's goal. The example of the DAVID project in Florence with the 76 percent reduction in mortality on the city's roads in 10 years showed that through method and a sense of purpose, even complex problems such as road safety in cities can be addressed.
We must now aim for ZERO deaths on the roads. It is possible, we just have to want it.

20+ years of experience in multinational companies (Olivetti, IBM and Lilly) across Europe. Chief Financial Officer of Lilly Italy and East Europe for 10 years (more than 1 B$ business). Experience in the area of Information Technology, Manufacturing, Finance, Procurement, Business Development, Strategic Planning. After a life changing event I decided to dedicate 50% part of my working time, my skills and experience to improve road safety in Italy through a non-profit organization and I founded (Associazione Lorenzo Guarnieri Onlus). The other half of my working time I am trying to help as a consultant medium size companies in Italy to grow their business.
