Abstract
David will share his 2022 experience on the implementation of Agile Ways of Working for the Transformation of Rheinland Refinery. He has been a mentor and coach to leaders and teams for over 25 years, supporting them to implement a culture of continuous improvement and to gain or regain competitiveness. He has founded a global Lean & Agile Community of Practice with over 100 coaches and has led Lean & Agile implementations in Shell’s Upstream, R&D and Capital Project Divisions, as well as in many other companies and sectors since 2001.

David worked in many different organizations and industries: oil & gas, chemicals, food processing, manufacturing, service organizations, media, public administration and project organizations (new product development, R&D, software development, construction, sales and relief agencies), both in profit and not-for-profit. Has also trained and certified hundreds of lean black belts and built several teams of internal and external consultants. Co-founder of Heyunka BV, Odin Groep BV, Takt International BV, the Dutch Lean Initiative (NLI) and the Hansei Foundation for Distance Learning. Author of four books and multiple blogs on Lean & Agile and the Improvement Kata.
